Yet another mini Citroen graveyard!

Stumbled across this the other day, thanks to a tip off from a friend.

Apparently this guy used to buy every Citroen BX / AX / XM that went through Ballyclare auction and just took them straight across to here. I think this is only the tip of the iceberg, but pretty special nonetheless. There were plenty of other scrappers left to die, but they lacked the shite factor of the Citroens.

My friend is trying to buy the GS.

Enjoy!

That's a nice wee collection there... what's the plan with it all?

Nice find.

How long has the GS sat on the grass? Does it have any floor left?

There's a chap in NI somewhere who has a rhd BX Mk1 estate languishing in a field somewhere - the twin of my car but even more rotten. Wonder if this is the same bloke?

I'm pretty sure it is him. I know there's a field full of BXs belonging to him somewhere.

These cars have only been sitting outside for less than a year, previously they were in a barn which he was evicted from apparently. The BX looks like it could be driven away! And the GSA is very solid. He wants £700 for it, but negotiations are under way to get it saved.

They'll all just lie there an die I'm sure.

The GSa needs saving fast, if the sills and floors are still solid. Even if there is some rot - the panels look good. Belts on the engine could snap at any time!! If the Dyane is a T reg then that's a good year for them, it'll possibly be much better than the bits of rust may suggest. The Acadiane will most likely be rotten at that age, unless it's low mileage and lucky.

I'd love a GS/GSA, the dash is bonkers! That does look a very straight example, hope it can be saved.

The BX looks salvageable. 8)

It certainly does and it has the uber rare (and sought after] 'Tailblazer' between the back lights.

I'd be surprised (but delighted) if that GSA was still solid underneath after sitting with its arse on that terrain for any length of time. The price seems rather salty too although I dunno if tat goes for more £££ in NI; over here I'd expect a £700 GSA to have MOT...

Can you ask what he wants for this please?

Absolutely. Didn't pay that as much attention as I should have. The guy is apparently very hard to get hold of (some dodgy business) but I will try!

Coming up as a TXD on my reg checker app.

Just tripped over this thread again, R9UKE, did you ever get any info on any of this wondrous French shit?

Spoke to a few Citroen geeks I know and was basically told not to bother. They have tried to save a few cars and got nowhere. He apparently has a few people "looking" for him, doesn't answer the phone to numbers he doesn't know and is very rarely seen. The few experiences people have had with him have been short and along the lines of "fuck off".
