Tayne -I found it on Ebay.com the day it was listed. I'd been talking to Lance, the owner for several days before those forums picked it up. i dont own those 'Bring a Trailer cars' but do own a Bellett & 117.

 

Taff- I'm midway through the 'bidding process' whereby i pitch one quote against another to see who comes up trumps. Thanks for the suggestions, know one, not t'other.

 

I've also been onto Customs & Excise to apply for a Binding Tariff Agreement (-5% tax & nil VAT) -small savings, but all welcome..

i got that for the Galaxie based on the fact that DVLA hd none registered here, and as such is was rare and of historic interest. worth a punt, like you said, it's allways better having that cash in your pocket
