Any interest in this? I bought it for the engine and the rest is being scrapped. Everything available! Nice alloys with good tyres, (think there was some interest in those) towbar etc.

Shame to see it broken but it really is a knackered old thing. The fact it's done 214k is impressive enough.

The wheels will have to be the last things off I'm afraid as I'll need to keep the hulk mobile.

It IS a shame to break it... the welding doesn't look that bad and it's in great shape for its 214k miles. I can't do any work on it for a couple of weeks anyway... maybe I should have a rethink then...

The wife doesn't want me to upgrade from a 2005 Volvo S40 to a 1992 Citroen ZX, although her ears did prick up when I told her how much less ot would cost to run..

No problem Tim, I pm'd you my number a while back. Just let me know when your ready to let them go. Debating wether there is any other parts I want for mine.

As queer as it sounds, sometimes they want to live and sometimes they don't.

Good luck either way.

The turbo Pilot project has been put at hold as it turns out it's quite a bit more rotten than I thought....

Anyway, the ZX has been put into the garage for the time being..

Why break it when you can fix it! Or even better leave it in the garage for the next few years wondering why you still own it!!

If you look in the garage there's even a random tub of veg oil waiting for it.... maybe it's fate?

Aaaw, look! It's so happy. You can't break that poor thing, can you?

One of the previous owners nearly scrapped it for smoking a lot on start up. One set of new plugs later and that stopped.

This car is just a bit lucky for its own good.

Just got it up on ramps and this thing is totally hanging underneath, chassis mostly. Whoever paints over rust with underseal needs to be put on the sex offenders register or something. So annoying.

So, yes, it's deffo being broken.

Knew it. And the inner wings are rotten as heck.

If anyone wants an Aura interior it's actually pretty tidy, aside from the ripped driver's bolster.

A long shot I know but did this get scrapped in the end? A mate of mine needs a few bits.

Ta.

Bugger, know of another anywhere? Need a full lock set for starters and bit's and pieces really.

I've just spotted a Volcane for spares and repairs but it's in Lancarshire.

Harry Bucklands in Cheltenham have (or had) an untouched Aura on an L plate just over a week ago. I'd try them if they are nearby...

Ta,

that's closer. I'm on the Shropshire/Worcs border so that's an hour drive rather than a 2-3 hour drive :-)
