Dunno if you remember this?

 

I saved her from Madonna's trained elephants sorry dancers a couple of years back. Well she's been unloved and had no work (red you see) and as we are now without a police car, I have decided Valentine will go into uniform! Had her running yesterday, the 2L pinto is sweet and underneath is good. Just needs a bit of missing GL door trim and a new front bumper.

 

Oh and obviously the naff body kit WILL GO! Well one bit fell off yesterday so that's not a long job....

 

This is what I'm aiming at

 

 

Only more Met than Essex.....

 

The blue lights arrived yesterday and the new livery is on order!

there was amilk float on ebay a few weeks back, complete with working charger, dont think it met its reserve

 

 

p.s. before you ask - no i dont have a decent front bumper, although i do one with a Megane impression on it

The LWB is ours, and are you thinking of the bullion van (OK also ours) was on last month in a thing called 'Food'

Well the back seat is the least of me worries. The bumper is a bit more critical. I would be happy with an L bumper. The existing one is pimpled, crimped and one of the overriders is hanging off

yes please WVM! Which model? The end caps are ok. Either base or GL would be fine

Makes no difference which model, they are all the same on the MK5, unless you have a South African one. the only thing I don't have is the over riders that make it a GL or Ghia.

Thanks but l have a rubbing strip missing off the bumper too so its either got to be complete or not need them

Thanks Cav. She'll be earning her keep for a change too. Not many classic uniform cars in the business. Loads of late cars which is exactly why l dont want to get involved with contemporary stuff

Had to get some emergency bits off me mate in Sheffield. Some rods (panhard rods? Void bush rods?) had rusted through due to the car being stood so my fault.

Blue lights are here, l haz paint so all systems are go! I will be going over to the car tomorrow so will have pics then.

Have (unusually) decided to slightly change her name to Valen-Tina

It will be boxed in with Police signs front and rear

 

 

Screen has been made secure ( Cameras could be mounted on it )

and then cosmetics have started, hope to be painting her on monday
