1996 Clio 1.2 five door. MOT'd December 23rd 2011, CD player, sunroof, five spped box, blah, blah blah.

Cracking little runner, since getting it (very recently) we've replaced the radiator fan which wasn't working and it now gets up to temperature and the fan kicks in as it should. Not long had two new front tyres and two new front discs, back tyres are excellent. Solid, tidy and pretty much original car.

Starts first time and seems to run very nicely, make a nice little town taxi/first car/whatever...

So there you have it, a no frills little runabout.

Known bad points:

The (bolt on) bracket for one of the boot struts is missing-can get one if wanted or you can sort if you like. Probably a five quid job from the scrappy.

Has a different key for the dooor to the ignition.

No power steering, central locking or anything too fancy.

Awaiting V5 to come back in my lad's name but you can collect from my house and a full, written receipt will be issued.

Out of tax but can tax (at your cost) if wanted.

Ask anyone you like to view it on your behalf if you wish and post up their findings on this thread, I've got sod all to hide and won't do anyone over.

Surprisingly tidy for it's age and so far I've not spotted anything it would fail the next MOT on but any inspection welcomed. Pocket money car for someone AND an Autoshiter's discount is assured so it'll be a bit cheaper for one of the gang so to speak.

£375/offers, prefer straight cash sale and DEFO no Mondeos. It's in Chester, Cheshire close to the motorway network and railway station.

These are actually proper nice, in a not-very-exciting way. Good luck with shifting it - hopefully your sale will not be plagued by mongs.

How do you drive a smackhead?

I find a four iron is best

Good luck with the sale Billy, I really liked driving the Clio that I passed my test in, that was an Oasis too 8)

I've had two of these... cracking little cars!! They put up with all kinds of abuse and never complain.

I had a little 1.4 RT which I bought for £100 with 5 months MOT. The sunroof leaked into the IR remote receiver on the roof console and killed the immobiliser in the end. Was great fun going out in the morning after a rainy night - first corner I turned I got a lap full of water! Scrapman gave me £140 for it in May :D

Great french shite!
