And that 9k tacho nearly made me do a little love wee.

 

When I did my degree placement, one of the guys working with me was "borrowing" a 1992 Toyota MKII, a sort of big camry related to the chaser. His had the two litre straight six, 24v engine and it made an amazing noise, and had a vacuum flourescent dash. I've hardly seen another one since then. You could get it with up to a 2.5 Twin Turbo.

 

So I bought a period brochure for it from the murky depths of international eBay, and now my life is complete. I actually have a bit of a fetish for '80s JDM stuff, not least because they did turbo-nutter-bastard versions of most of their humdrum saloons.

The Cedric was our wedding car in 2002, and the Laurel behind is my old one! It’s in the best possible hands now it lives with Iwan.

 

Brilliant variety of stuff in attendance. I’m going to have to go one year, would be a good weekend now the kids are a bit older. Apparently it’s not on in 2012 though.
