Its summer (sort of) so hows about a summer holiday spotting session -

R4 prepared for 4L Trophy

This caused a slight delay to the trip to le hypermarche, but what the hell. Lobsta_Jnr can wait a few minutes for some baby frogz legz or whatever as there is a Simca 1100 pick up over the road

The first thing any half decent shiter should do on arriving in France is to pick up a copy of Gazoline and check out whats going on in the area. Obviously I did and by happy coincidence a town down the road from where we were staying had a bit of a car show going on. I went. Here are pictures -

Just after I took this picture the owner appeared and proceeded to tell me it had done 800,000 km which is pretty impressive. Sadly by the time I had translated this information into English, all I could manage in response was 'Well done' which was a bit poor really.

After the car show shenanigans it was back to normal holiday stuff. A walk to the Boulangerie did yield these lovelies though -

Mrs_L likes looking around gardens and the like. I like old cars. If only there was a way to combine the two....

Some monsieurs known as Le Potager Extrodinaire have created a garden for you to walk around with a dead R9, a load of trellis created out of old bikes and other such silliness. Was rather good actually.

Finally, on the way home, a brief trip into Paris

Theres an auction house on the Champs Elyssee with a car sale going on. All fairly high end stuff mind but this was parked next to a DS Chapron, Miura, RR and something else I can't remember. Sold for 25,000 Euros apparently!

Nice work Monsieur L.

I think that green Alpine was at the show I went to. Did it have a badly painted front wing?

Peugeot 304 was nice as were the Renault 12's. Makes a change to see some classy continental stuff rather than the usual Cortinas, Stags , MGBs you see over here.

Good photos, Mr L. That Triumph 1300 looks rather good; I'd imagine it was odd to see one over there never mind tastefully modded!

Sacre bleu! 8) Great shots. I really like the blue Renault 15. :D

Great stuff, especially that 'garden car', imagine the battle with council jobsworth's you'd have here, if you tried to do something like that!

Certainly the o/s/f was a slightly different shade of green.

Trump 1300 in France with a Union Flag roof makes me think I should buy a Twingo and paint a French Tricolore on the roof. SRSLY.
