Went to this today, not a huge turnout but the museum is pretty good anyway. I suppose the weather didn't help.

This would look soooo much better on minilite replicas with a union jack roof and MK1 grille kit. (Takes tongue out of cheek)

Picture064.jpg

I love these kind of spindly old things.

Picture061.jpg

Oi! Goofy...

Picture058.jpg

This looked tidy apart from the poorly fitted rear arch.

One of two HC wagons in attendance.

GR8 4 council estate Elvis.

Picture053.jpg

'TUG' indeed...

Picture052.jpg

Wasn't the Mercury in the background 'spotted' by someone on here recently?

Picture047.jpg

JDM! TYTE! YO!

Picture045.jpg

Don't often see a 'little mouse' at a show.

Picture044.jpg

Anyone seen Steve? You can't miss him, he's got a flying jacket on.

1975 called...

Cool.

Picture034-3.jpg

For when a mini estate is just too big and unwieldy.

Picture032-2.jpg

Think this was another 'spot'?

Picture026-2.jpg

Like pooh, but with glitter sprinkled on.

Don't panic, it's one of ours.

Picture012-1.jpg

I do like a curvy rump.

What's Austrian for 'rozzers'?

thanks for sharing 'em

Nice. You managed to miss my mate's 2CV van which was parked next to the GORGEOUS Lancia. On reflection, perhaps the Lancia shots will suffice. Amazing.

Very nice, shame about the chrome plate surround on the Granny but the shortened Mini made up for it, it's looks brilliant. Some of the shots make me wonder if it's actually the law to have a certain percentage of right miserable looking bints sat in cars at shows.

Take one Mini estate/van and shorten so its approximately the same size as a normal Mini. So obvious when you think about it!

The Vitesse looks nice on the Cosmics. I think I'd want to drive home in the '53/4 Chevy next to the Mercedes and/or the Ice Cream van.

Love the Austin Devon Countryman! I'd also like to find one of those "Austin You Can Depend On It" stickers for my Cambridge, the one in the back window had faded so much I had to throw it away.

Top spots! I also like the way the gutter doesn't line up on that Mini shorty in a "Fuck it that'll do" fashion.

Was it a dark blue one? I think it had already gone when I took the photos.

Yeah, dark blue. Hides a GSA flat-four under its slightly-stretched from end...

Isn't it a van conversion? I usually assume things like that are as the genuine estate versions are so rare.

Excellent shots, thank you! That Corsair and Vitesse just looked so right, both of them. I must be old, I remember when cars did look like that, you could see them every day.

Yes, I think you're right Seth. Still lovely though.

Proper sliding side windows and chrome windscreen surround look a bit upmarket for an early 50s van, so I suspect it may be a genuine Countryman :D

I think that 'shorty' Mini is some sort of über rare prototype from back in the day. But I could be wrong. I've definitely seen it before though.

...Check out the back end; It doesn't have barn doors like a Mini estate.
