Thursday night, a stranger knocks at my door and tells me to go with him as there had been an accident involving my son and his bike. The following pics are the result of a 3omph off and a collision with a link fence and a lamp post. The one thing that stands out in my mind is the number of complete strangers who cared enough to stop, give first aid and comfort my son whilst waiting for the ambulance and police. Luckily, my son limped away from this pretty hard off due to decent armoured clothing and I never had the chance to thank all who assisted him and no doubt helped in his recovery. Who said that we live in a selfish society? Well, we dont here in Lowestoft!KENCRASH1.jpgKENCRASH4.jpgKENCRASH6.jpgKENCRASH2.jpg Thank you people of Lowestoft :D:D:D

That's rough but it is amazing how many good people there are everywhere, hope he gets better!

Glad to hear your lad's OK, and nice to have my faith in humanity restored.

Also, in the time honoured tradition..."It'll buff out" :D

Glad your son is alright. I'd bet you a tenner you wouldn't see the same level of kindness and care for your fellow man here in Bradford.

Glad to hear he's not badly injured, must have been a heart stopper when you got the knock.

Not nice seeing your first born laying on the floor, eyes rolling about and crying in pain. But, again, heartfelt thanks to all who assisted. :D

I remember being in Blackpool when I was about 15, and a poor woman was struck by a tram...a massive crowd of people gathered around her wanting to assist, including my mother (who's a nurse). I've always thought that in this day and age I'd never see anything like that again, well it's good to see that I'm wrong.

I am always the first to assist anyone I see needing help, I think we all have a duty of care to our society and I feel lucky enough to live in a town where of course there is crime and the fear of it but also there are decent, honest and helpful people in abundance. I guess in a place the size of Bradford, that sense of community is lost? I know that when I was attacked for doing my old job in Enfield Nth London and a passer by joined in to help the ATTACKER, I lost faith too!
