welcome

i had a green mk1 Fiesta once (it wasnt really mine, i was storing it for someone) and it got nicked. i found it in the morning about 1/4 of a mile away, ran out of petrol, they left the ford radio and nicked the parcel shelf brackets.

i never had a green car again..............

Ehup Nick.

Another shiter from mine and Hirsts neck of the woods. I was only in Keighley t'other day.

A 'Frascati' makes it a super late Mk3 then? They were all that colour by the way.

Hello and greetings from way over in the east!

well if they were all that colour ford made a big mistake with them!!! thank GOD i dont have to wait long till i get a bit more autoshite but i dunno what to get next lol

I think the Frascati was one of the run out models, they came in a few colours IIRC, dark blue, dark green, turquoise and a pinky red colour, They had such luxuries are electric front windows, Central locking and power steering.

mine did have power steering but it was over light so i ripped the pump off! the drivers door window works when it wants and the bootlid release thing has never worked EVER

Hello nick :)

I had a mark 3 Fiesta as my first car, a 1989 Magenta Red 1.1 LX three-door with electric windows, central locking and remote tailgate release (ooh!). It was a great car to hone my driving skills with (I passed my advanced driving test in it...), but I don't think I'd want to own another ;)

well needless to say i think i shall be avoiding fords at all costs from that 1990 to 2000 era because they were all just bags of monumental horse shit imo

I went off Fords when the Granada morphed into the Scorpio in the mid-1990s :(

now you see i liked the very late scorpios with the darkened lights and made it less of a chromosexual mobile! my dad had a s reg ultima 2.9 v6 cosworth, once i passed my test i borrowed if for a weekend and i refused to give it back! just loved the power of the thing, however i still maintain the best thing about it (other than the engine) was the fact i didnt have to look at it when i was driving it!

The interior of the Scorpio was lovely and quite a contrast to the exterior! :D

loved the leather and the squishiness (sp) of the seats and the fact i could raise them up because im only a shortarse 5ft4 lol i must have looked like such a complete tool driving that thing!

Hello!

You're right about Keighley, I drive through the place weekly. Never stop. Ever. :D

Welcome, Nick! I passed my test in a green Fiesta... in 1978... I'm sure we will be able to lead you astray between us, enough to get you into some wildly impractical and costly heap of shite that needs constant attention. Keep hands and arms inside the car at all times, no standing up...
