French Glas -views welcomed please

Some may remember that i followed up a Glas that Mr Bx found late last year- but the seller effectively blanked me

 

I've found this one (Ebay 300523188018) and would very much welcome some knowledgeable views.

Its not been on the road in 15yrs -judging by the Carte grise, and the sellers new. However- he is willing to flog it here- and it does roll OK.

 

Initial thinking is to offer 800 froggies -after the auction -if no one else bids.....

I find 1000 eurogs a bit steep -but I'd welcome thoughts before i make an offer (assuming no bidders. If there is one -I might have to stump up)

That looks pretty cool and in decent condition too. Seats and trim look good, bumpers look straight, can't see and rampant rot growing anywhere including under the bonnet or in the engine bay. No idea if its worth paying 1000 gold coins for though. Are they mega rare?

Am I correct in thinking that this is one of the first cars to have a belt-driven camshaft? Get it bought!
