and the TVR factory in Blackpool (Can't find the link now  )

Anyway just an idea - Could we not do some sort of meet at such a location ?

I was at the TVR factory the other week. Part of it is now a cafe but I don't know if it's open of a weekend.

What's more important, location or attendees? I'd have thought the latter for the most part; so a rough location could be decided and then find somewhere shite to look around?

Venue quality is everything: we can say let's go to a location that the majority of people can get to and get high attendance, but then it turns out that there are no suitable shite museums to go to. There's also no rule to say we can't have southern and northern shite days out.

To paraphrase from Field of Dreams: "build it (fill it full of shite) and they will come".

I'd be up for another Q Park meet.

Yep, I'd do that.

Otherwise, what about the Transport Museum at Leyland? Full of shite by all accounts.

Haynes motor museum seems quite apt.

However, I believe it is in an uninhabited part of the country

A few people live down this way  , Near Haynes ( 2 miles or so ) theres also the Fleet air arm museum full of planeshite , I was there a week or so ago , well worth a visit if your down this way .

Haynes is a great museum c/w with its own test track which is bookable for the day although not sure how much that is .

Been to that one a few times, it's gr8. Check out their website for dates of shows, then you can see many varieties of extra shite!

I'm sure that was the one that had a TV show following it, Some of the old boys in the committee fell out with another old boy and they ended up bitching about each other through the whole show IIRC.

£64 isn't bad for a full day's track AKTION. However Haynes is in Yeovil, and I live in the North West. So that's at least £150 for a days' worth of arsing about when you factor fuel and food into the equation.

Could we not do some sort of North meet, South meet and then finally something in the Middle ?

Could make it easier, due to the way members are spread.

Either way, all ideas are welcome :D

What are you planning on eating?

Caviar? Quails eggs?

get your ma to make you some buns. Job done.

I like buns. But ME SUMS are still conservative.

£63* for track time + £80 in fuel (plus whatever I use razzing round the track) + foods = quite a fucking lot for one day out. I still would though, perhaps I can get that beguiling young lady from the library to come and hold the wheel brace or something.

*£1 deducted in Dutch fusebox 'SHMOKE' tax.

Haynes would be ideal for me as I should be back in Plymouth by that point. Since I missed the last one, I am very keen to get to the next meet

How about you all pop around my gaff for a can of Becks and a bacon sarnie? Whilst you're here you can give me a hand refurbing the Metro :D
