The details is a it is a screenshot from a Pathe film of a police Sargent about to mount a Noddy bike, to impress his female work colleges.

I ment it not on DVLA any more unlike the other post featuring a similar police bike which still exists.

Mrs MDH thinks it was her Gran's friends Acclaim, although I don't think it looks like an Acclaim? .....  (All my recent pics on here have come from my better halves family).

Shape of the rear door is like R14. Have never seen a red one. My grandfather had a brand new dark metallic blue one. 1979 T-reg.

The main front-page one on Wikipedia has a red one, photo taken from same angle.

Not an R14. R14 has swage along wing top and no deep swage on door.

Rover 213.

Still think its an N13 Sunny. Dashboard and doorcard give it away.

Couldnt show that much Rover interior without a flash of wood effect plastic!

I don't think it's the rover, their front corner indicators have a clear lens. Sunny is a good call, but the indicator wraps further into the wing than the mystery car. If only she'd get out of the bloody way!

She had to sit down because of her dodgy leg,  sorry about that!

Rover 213.

Dash is wrong for 213. Rover had a shelf like dash with a rubber mat. My father got a 213 SE in 1985 and I remember the little rubber mats on the dash could be lifted up. They did help keep your cigs and lighter from going out of an open window when going briskly round a roundabout.

My Rover 213 had no hint of wooden plastic.  Just like the one in the post below.

Seems correct. I was looking at the swage line and strip.

Look at the passenger air vent position of both. Rover is too low, so my money is still on Sunny.
