According to https://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/registrations/sv.htm it was originally a code for Kinross-shire.  It was one of the councils that didn't get to the end of it's original allocation by the time dated registrations became compulsory.

I’d be happier with that photo being Fife, because I’ve looked and can’t find anywhere quite right in Aberdeen.

SV is the current Aberdeen prefix though.

SV2219 was issued by Kinross in 1955

SV2093 first reg in 1955

SV2241 first reg in 1956

So late 1955
