@martc If the  photo of a Capri and Taunus on a production line is in Germany, I may have walked in that area of the factory in Köln in 1967.  We had a school trip around the factory - school was at JHQ Rheindahlen.  The guide said that over 50% of the workforce was Turkish.

Regarding the shot of the Renault 12s racing, my 12TS would not corner like that.  It had chronic understeer, possibly* because I could only afford cheap tyres.

The photo was labelled 'Koln 1970' so a little after your visit.
