We have a meme in America called "Big Altima Energy" because if you drive a Nissan Altima, chances are, you've done all those thing I mentioned above!

 

BAE can also apply to all Nissans, like the Sentra and Versa I spotted, but usually it's Altimas.

The thing on the back?  If you're talking about the thing taped to the boot lid, that's a temporary registration. It's what the dealer gives you before you drive the car off the forecourt while you wait for your real plate from the state to arrive in the post.  Did somebody really purchase this heap from a dealer?  Not necessarily.  Maybe a dealer bought it from a salvage auction and they're taking it to get repaired?  Who knows?

Could also be the temporary plates issued by the DMV office after the owner registers the vehicle. Both my vehicles had paper tags stuck to the rear window until the actual plates came in the mail.

My Daughter spotted this Rolls Royce Silver Wraith in downtown Nashville.  The UK plate is original to the car.  DVLA records show it was first registered on 10 December 1953 in Oxford.  UK road tax expired on 10 June 2024, so it appears to be a recent import.  I love how the owner got a Tennessee vanity plate with the same registration as the original UK plate!

My daughter said the driver had a big grin on his face.  Of course he did!
