I think he's a user on Retro-Rides but always good to read about that car again. Bloody lovely that is.

It is sweet. Pageant blue with beige velours and the HLS chrome wheel rings = win, win, win.

that is a lovely save.

Funnily enough I had been drooling over this http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 570211.htm only a few minutes ago.

and it is only a world away from most of you.

That's very smart. I recall the colour on early Metros and Itals, can't think what it's called. What's $2300 Kiwi in real money?

Wouldn't be my choice of colour but it does fit the shape, and you can't argue with the condition. I had a triple-black 2.0 manual, it was extremely comfy and capable.

Black is the best colour. I knew of three back in the day - a Special Six auto, an original Torcars (hatchback conversion) 2200HLS and a Princess 2 2000HL with the gold pinstripe. Handsome beasts! Even better with the big Trapezoidal headlamps - iirc they were only used on the original 1975 Austin 1800/2200 and when they were renamed Princess, the HLS models.

The gent who bought the Blue one mentioned here also has a black Special Six auto with a gold pinstripe.
