Well styled, well proportioned coupe. Peugeot got this one spot on, a real looker!

So much so they released a Coupe version of the 406 replacement. Oh....

I saw a 408 coupe last year and really liked it, i'd love to own one.

I can't say i agree with the Mondeo neither, ok It's not in the same league as the Sierra but It's still a great car i think.

Bit harsh, the only one in here I actively dislike is the 308.

The Scorpio looks alright too, it's got a mad back end for a start. Even if you don't get on with the original ones (I do), I think the subtle facelift was incredibly effective:

Yes the facelift helped a bit - but that is still one Dam ugly car.

Although apparently very nice to drive.

1000% agree with Hirst. I had a pre-facelift Scorpio and loved the way it looked.

I like them, they look like a aero-generation Crown Victoria but with a mad front. Works for me.

I have a Frog Face..... (Not me, but the car) It drives superbly, seriously comfy, uneconomical, and it's a downright hooligan when the loud pedal is carpeted.

Yes, the externals looks are awful (or are they) but when you're on the inside, who cares? I'd sell it if anyone wanted it, by the way.... Can't afford to keep it!

I grew fond of my Scorpio's styling. Unfortunately due to mingebaggery I put 15" Mondeo steelies on in place of the 16" Ultima multispokes which made it look a bit narrow tracked and ungainly.

The 407 coupe looks a bit odd on the computer screen but it's a good looker in real life apart from that gopping grille.

My old 24v Ultima looked exactly like that. A whole lot of good car for the 250 quid it cost me (Can't find pound sign on this Czech keyboard :( ) Bigger inside than my Jag, more toys, comfy and quiet and generally an agreeable place to spend time. Handled well, too.

Not my cup of tea in that I wouldn't want to own one, but IMHO they look smart and do stand out:

But this, well......

I think it is just ugly and looks very little different to the Fiesta (and most of the other new cars on the road)!

I'm not one of those people who thinks the E-type is the most beautiful thing ever made by man:

And I don't particularly think the XJS is ugly (I think it's lovely):

But I thought I'd put this here for the 'E-type purists':

Also:

Ugly in a nice, quirky way:

Ugly, but in the 'same as everything else' way:

Silver is probably the kindest colour for the Scorpio but it's still horribly ugly. I wonder if we'd still have one for sale today if they hadn't messed it up so badly?

I don't think the Scorpio caused Ford to exit the large executive saloon sector, it was down to the fact that bread and butter car makers cant attract the desire of punters at that price range of the market. Citroën and Renault still like to have a bash every now and then, but it'll be a unlikely that Ford, Vauxhall/Opel, Fiat will try challenging the big German 3 anytime soon.

I love the Scorpio warts an all i have several of them ( Scorps not warts ) .

Yup. Superb looking car. Dont think I would dream of buying one though as its a modern Citroen (=will probably break). Maybe in a few years though. :)

Agreed that facelift Xantia was a bit shit!

The original Renault Laguna was very nice and then they revised it and put on some very cheap-looking coloured rear light lenses on the 1998/99 facelifted model. I know someone up the road from me who bought a maroon 'W' plate Laguna a few years ago and put the original rear lights on it a matter of weeks later.

Personally, I didn't think the facelifted Xantia was that bad...

One that comes to my mind was the MK3 Mondeo. Ford fiddled with it twice in it's life and on both occasions managed to make it worse. When it first come out in 2000, it took a while to grow on me but I eventually really warmed to it. In 2003 however, they started to ruin it with lighter rear lights and that god-damn awful cheesy faux-crome grille. That wasn’t all, oh no... A few years later they decided to mess with the rear lights again by adding chrome and pointless white stripes. If that wasn’t enough, side rubbing strips were also removed on some models. Some people claim this makes it (or indeed any other car) look better. No it doesn't. It makes them look like base models...

I've bashed the french here enough..

Totally agree with Tontops about the Spyder. The later ones are horrid looking heaps of rust IMO.

5 door Mazda 323 (or 323F as it's sometimes referred to).

Went from this (the prettiest 5 door family hatch of EVER?)

To this (which wasn't bad as such, just nowhere near as good as the previous model)
