Sounds good to me.

Now what shall I turn up in. The maestro, maestro or the maestro.....

I’ve just seen where Stondon is, a fairly easy journey for me.

Is anyone else taking children along? It’s possibly more do-able for me if I bring my two.

I'm not but then he is only 6 months, but can't see any reason you shouldn't bring 'em, its good education / indoctrination for them anyway :D

Nnnngh. This may only be a 'maybe' from me now.

Looks like I may be returning to the UK a day earlier, and I'm fooked if I'm gonna do another 300 mile round trip for a laugh.

There must be a cheap, shite hotel around the A1 somewhere?

Posted

My plan is to leave CZ and get the 2am Saturday morning ferry, which would mean passing Stondon a day early. Bugger.

I will miss this, and it was going to be my first shite trip :(... Viva National on same day RAF Cosford... :? Next time :D

Sounds good, want to give the Visa a run before it goes onto SORN at the end of sept. What time people getting there from? John

Will any of you shiters be bring your respectable other halves?, Mrs Trigger keeps asking if she going or not, I told her there no point if she's the only women going but if a few others of you are bring your partners then I'll bring her.

Mrs_Pog has expressed an interest in attending. Poglet_Maximus may also join us (though other smaller poglets may be foisted elsewhere due to poor attention spans..)

^ Get it fixed then Louise or just beg, steal or borrow another car to come down in  .

Has anyone contacted the museum yet just to let them know that we are all descending on them next weekend?, It might be worth letting them know in case there is a problem or something, We might even get free tea and biscuits (Though i doubt it).

Also how many can make it there now? I'm just wondering rough numbers.

I'm still coming, Mrs Lobster is not. After spending the weekend at Silverstone this weekend, I reckon I'd be pushing my luck a bit...

Planning to come in the R4, although if the weather is particularly bad I might well come in the Sprinter instead. Don't really fancy a 300 mile roundtrip in the R4 in the rain tbh.

Facebook says 8 yes, 22 maybe.

I'm a yes :D

I'm one of the 22 maybe on facebook!

Me and Dad might be coming but depends if mum needs her car or not! '96 Saab 900 allowed?

Are we having our own stand type thing or just all parking in the car park? if a stand I'll wash the car, if not, sod it

I don't think shite cars are an necessary, as long as you turn up then that be fine!

I'll be bring Mrs Trigger i think as she wants to came along and talk about shite cars, If it's raining I'll be bring the Bora though, I really hope it's not raining.

I do feel that we should contact the museum though just to let them know a group of us are coming.

I don't think a dozen or so people (which is how I suspect numbers will fall) will phase them particularly, though if there's many more perhaps they would like to know. Trigger, would you mind giving them a bell and report back as I've got quite alot of other things to do at the moment? From memory the car park should swallow us without much difficulty and I can't see them being worried about paying customers turning up.

I'll give them a little tinkle tomorrow Seth just to let them know, That's why i was asking how many are coming, Just so i could let them know in case that there was a problem.

Definite yes here - it'd better not bloody rain, a feature on a certain orange car is hanging in the balance!

I've no idea what I'm going to be in yet. 2CV, BX or CX. Definitely a Citroen of some sort!

Posted

Definite yes from me. Shame I don't have the 2CV any more as that would have been ideal to come in, but it'll have to be the A35 as I'm not insured for the Maestro :(

Posted

Assuming I do make it as per current plan, what shall I come in, Herald or Hillman :?

Posted

Speaking personally, I'd like to have a gander at the MX-Herald. Feels wrong deciding for you though!

I'm praying that it's not raining neither! :D

I didn't know the Herald is MX5 powered now!, I'd love to see either cars personally!
