• Triumph TR7 / TR8 (1980 onwards): VIN often found in the right-hand (RH) side rain gutter of the boot.
• Alfa Romeo (75, 90): VIN plate located on the offside (right) boot floor pan, close to the edge.
• Austin/Rover (Mini, Metro, Maestro, Montego): Often found in the tail gate drain channel or boot area.
• Volkswagen Polo: Data sticker with the VIN is often located near the spare wheel under the carpet.

Belt and braces, is that 4 wheel straps plus 1 extra each side ?

The trailer came with three wheel straps and I had my own long ones so one of those each side

It tows as stable as a rock at 50 / 80kmh, and that's basically the speed limit on the roads I'm on anyway
