mouseflakes Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Bristol - River Avon - on display twice a day. Close up - it's not much of a challenge really.
barrett Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Eh? you what? this is officially more confusing then anything Team Blitz has written so far....
Inspector Morose Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 I think you'll find reality is on the blink again. Micrashed 1
cms206 Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 hold on lads... theres a car in there! Buggered if I know what it is, right enough... !
scaryoldcortina Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 It's a 2cv? (or an upside down silver cross pram buried next to an old netto trolley...)
mouseflakes Posted August 10, 2010 Author Posted August 10, 2010 Yay! Milf = winner. Is this what gave it away Milf?
barrett Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 wow.... someone get down there and dig it out, that'll be worth a fortune on ebay....
Milford Cubicle Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Aye, I can't believe nobody else spotted it. Hope I win the car, given barrett's prediction.
Pillock Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 I only said Mk1 Escort since every buried/dumped car well beyond saving always turns out to be something obscenely rare or expensive.
barrett Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Aye, I never saw it at all.... took me long enough to work out it was a car, and then I thought the A pillar was the C pillar, if you know what I mean. Anyway, i'd be willing to bet that all the stuff under the gunk is in very good condition indeed, all the shit would create a nice air-tight seal around it. Someone get on it, how much do MK1 'Tina front wings go for nowdays?
mouseflakes Posted August 10, 2010 Author Posted August 10, 2010 Yeah - it's always surprised me how well it has survived - it's been there at least 14 years now. I imagine it was dumped a lot earlier than that. Even in the mid-90's, no-one would have dumped a Mk1 Cortina would they?
HillmanImp Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Even in the mid-90's, no-one would have dumped a Mk1 Cortina would they?I have some pictures at my mums house of a Mk2 Cortina I found burnt out at the old mushroom farm in Angmering when I was at school. I got some petrol and set fire to it again and took some pictures for a school project where we had to make a fake newspaper story. The teacher told me off for not using my own photos, until I took the originals in and then I got into trouble for setting fire to the car. Cant bloody win.
warren t claim Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Could this be exumed with a decent grab wagon?
Guest Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 I think you'll find reality is on the blink again.Well, put some bloody money in the meter then!
Albert Ross Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I think the weight of the mud would make it collapse. Perhaps get a high pressure hose on it, as the site became clear, then strap it up and hoist it off and weigh it in! (Get the lamp units off first though)
