..ing beauty? Can't say I blame him!

He will be regretting it when he needs to remortgage his house to pay for the fuel bills in comparison to his Corsa.

I thought that when I went from a Seat Ibiza to a Ford Cougar, but the breakdowns reduced my fuel bill to Ibiza levels. Win.

Economy is only a priority if you don't want to drive. If you do, then other considerations just get swept away.* Me, I'd happily swop four Corsas for a Rover like that, but I'd be wanting a different colour. Trouble with the 70s was, everything was brown or beige...

*I can say that, ex-owner of two Cadillacs...! :D

SD1 3.5 to XJR has already made a noticeable difference to my fuel bills.

Todays average is 15.4 mpg (all in town), and I've been driving like a pensioner. The SD1 does closer to 20 in town.

I reckon the Jag is gonna cost me an extra tenner a week in fuel (Hmm, that'll be £60 a week then), but it's worth it.

Very nice, im more of a P5 man myself though

Thank you, sir!

That is precisely my point of view. My 300SE Merc does mid 20s MPG where some nasty Eurobox would manage 30. So fucking what? The extra tenner a week for petrol is money well spent considering how much pleasure I get each and every time I drive the old Benz.

I really want a V8 now.

Bit confused, this is clearly the same car???

It would appear so. I think i might buy it a stick a 205 dizzler in it...

well he kept that a long time then...

I'll collar him tonight and see what the score is

from auction : EVERYTIME I PULL INTO WHERE I LIVE I GET SUCH SMILES AND PEOPLE WANTING TO LOOK AND TAKE PICS ETC.

well yeah, that'll be me then......

Ask if you can leave some old stuff you dont want anymore, in front of his house!

Posted

yeah but my wife isn't as attractive as that Rover so I'm not sure he'd go for it

sooooo glad she doesn't read these forums :D

there's some doubt as to what I actually heard now, I'm sure it was just bought it, while I sell the other - but I do drink a lot so it could have been 'had it a while, while I sell it.'

I will find out.....

Anyway it's about 7ft from the front bumper of our Saab and at this rate it could be rolling back a few feet...must resist, really can't afford it, 3 week old baby.....but I love it, I want it.....arghhhhhhh

P.S. thanks for the offer of dropping me in it but I'll politely reufse....please :)
