I've just seen a ghost!

Well an automotive ghost to be exact....

I managed to convert some old hi-8 home video tapes of my son as a baby in 1999 to mp4 today and out of the window of my living room you can see the faint outline of my 1974 MK3 Cortina 2000E. It's the only surviving footage of the car as I only owned it for six months.

Also bonus 90s decor and CRT TV, hifi and video recorder.

It's the sight I fear the most,

Rather eat a piece of toast...

Had a 2000E estate, was a great car apart from the rust 😱

Met it's end with a lwb transit from swan national (remember them?) wrapped round the front of it, after one of their drivers thought that the stopping distance for an old ford at 50mph was six feet!

Wrote both off

Was it a good 6 months ownership experience then? 😂😬

2000E is one of the cars for my dream garage .

The car my my parents owned when I was born was a signal red 2000 XL estate, 1974 M reg. I vaguely recall it having RoStyle wheels.

My Dad just found this picture on Faceache.

His Morris Oxford just in frame on the right painted in brown Rose Taupe.

I had a 1976 2000E in Miami blue with a blue vinyl roof and interior - it went very well once I’d slightly* upgraded it’s power output with the aid of a Cosworth V6 from a Scorpio Granada and five speed box.

I quite literally smoked a set or rear tyres with it.
