I'm detecting a theme

My gut feeling is the young girl in the Ibiza wasn't paying attention, her friend even said so and it wasn't her first crash neither and she was only about 18-19, I was watching her cutting between cars on the motorway only a few minutes earlier, I think she just ploughed into the 308 and there wasn't a thing i could do to stop.

All sounds very familiar with my 2CV accident (although you were going a lot faster), young girl not paying attention, and my glasses ended up on the back seat as well.

one of my mates nearly lost his Pug 407 when a dizzy bat drove into the front of him when he was stationary at a junction ( ).

Some bint did the same thing to me on Saturday night, just pulled straight from lane 1 into lane 2 in front of me. I was about 10 feet behind doing 15mph more than her. Luckily no-one in lane 3 so I could jink right but if there had been I doubt I could have stopped. She was obviously one of the 'manouvre, signal, mirror' brigade.

SRSLY, as discovered via Facebook last night, I'm glad you're both in better shape than the car & at the end of the day it did it's job, it's just a shame it had to give up it's life in the process! But, your life or it's life = no contest!

Chin up Trigger at least you walked away (I mean christ you could have been wearing a borat thong whilst hammering a moped up the M11).

 or even worse, I could have been wearing my christmas jumper!

I've been told this morning that I'll get a courtesy car hopefully today, I'm hoping that it will be a Daewoo Espero. :D

A guy I used to work with drives an Octavia estate. We wear high-viz vests and dark blue shirts at work. He noticed one day on the way home a Supra weaving in and out of traffic, overtaking in daft places, in his rear view mirror coming up behind him. And then it pulled out from behind the car behind him, nailed it...... and immediately hit the brakes and dropped in behind matey.

Matey then drops the speed.... 60 - 55 - 50 - 45, still Supra driver can't find the bottle to overtake an Octavia driven by a guy in a dark shirt and fluorescent jacket. Mwahahah.

I think I'd be OK seeing a Senator, but Volvos still put the shits up me when I'm driving like a cock.

Great story!

Lancashire has long favoured the Volvo, but even they can get it wrong sometimes. I was passed on the M55 one time, by a plain-coloured 850 Estate, which was something they liked a lot for sneaking up on people. Except it had a forest of twigs on the roof, in RDF pattern, plus comms twigs. Couldn't have been much more obvious, it really should have been a marked car, white with battenburg and lights. Or, if you're going to run a plain car, run something discreet, like navy blue, right? It was Ferrari Red...

Yeah but how many of us have really wanted to do the same thing when you've seen a bad bit of driving.

The first paramedic that turned up on Saturday was in a unmarked black BMW 5-series, he was just dressed in civvies and his girlfriend was in the front but it still had blue flashing lights on the dashboard, It threw me for a few seconds until he told us that he was a off duty paramedic on the way to a BBQ.

There was a bad bus crash here in 1992 in which 3 people died. It was near a mate's house, and the first car on the scene was an unmarked* 2.8i Capri police car.

*in those days, all police cars here were unmarked.

No mate, the Capri couldn't be aromoured due to its unusual shape. Chobham weren't interested as to the small numbers.

Shame about the Celeste being rough, I ummed a bit when i saw it but couldn't even begin to pay the asking price after it came out of CCW for 595!

Nice 4i - for sale?

The Celeste was £595 ? Blimey, £1200 for no work done I guess ?

Where was you on Saturday Mike, I could of done of being told that before!,

What an arsehole though, So he really did rip me of, I was going to pay £1250 because to wanted to remove and sell the number plate, The extra £50 was to keep it on. Funny enough we said it was worth more like £500.

Your XR4i is very nice, when oldford from this parsh was driving me home we discussed the possibilities of owning one now they are getting older and rarer plus i'm a bit of a fan of the jelly mould.

I was in Majorca! If it looked grotty on top I guarantee it would have been hellish underneath, both mine looked pretty good, and had rotted out badly in places that are difficult to find unless you pretty much strip the car down. Spares are a nightmare too.

The XR is for sale.... :D

May I enquire as to how much Sir?

Shame about the Celeste - always wanted another one.

I hope Mikes XR can stay in the 'fold', always liked it.

Isnt the owner of the Celeste on here..?

Luckily yes John, I've got Hannahs Micra still and this loan car which is more hassle then it's worth, I should have just left it in the driveway and just used the Micra.

In 2 weeks I've gone from 3 cars to 1!
