A collection adventure, with Hampshire gentleman Fat_Pirate

I've grown weary of my current vehicle, so a replacement has been found.  The adventure begins with breakfast:

I should point out such indulgence is not normal in this household.  Standard breakfast here is gravel, or merely a reading of a cautionary passage from the bible about the dangers of gluttony, or onanism.

That was followed by 4 hours sat at my desk, carrying out the nonsensical tasks my employer requires, and speaking to a team of people I've known for years, but only as voices in my headset.

There will be no 'PC' count - bodily functions are dirty and unnatural, and the sooner the law recognises this the better.  That lad on the skateboard, that woman with a koala in her bathroom - it'll be prison for them.

Finally, it was time to visit the fine gentleman @r.welfare at his delightful country residence, to collect said vehicle; then home.

I'm very pleased with it, a real bargain.  Going back to a manual 'box after years of autos has been an education... I'm calling it 'Giffertronic', which is 4000 RPM followed by varying amounts of kangarooing; I then rolled it backwards into Mrs Pirate's car as I'd forgotten that handbrakes are a thing, nothing damaged though.

Absolute pleasure to meet you and your wife, @Fat_Pirate, and thank you for the kind words!  Once again Autoshite comes up trumps for dealing with nice people; I shudder to think what Facebook Marketplace would have been like with this.
