CPTC + Frogface + mongdeo (undamaged bumpers!)

Something vaguely Capri-ish under the tarp?

I'm not very good at catpiss challenges. :(

Posted

No me neither! Unless it's obvious, to me it could be anything! I couldn't even hazard a guess most of the time. I mean who can say as I doubt the poster often actually knows the answer for sure either so it really is down to debate most of the time.

Posted

How do you know the poster doesn't know Reg? he could be double-bluffing us. Or, he might know, and just forget to tell us! For me, this CPTC is an Elan +2.

Posted

He could know as he might have taken a cheeky peek or be in cahoots with the owner. But if it's got most people on here stumped, chances are the poster won't know either & is asking hoping that someone on here will be able to tell him!

By the way, I'm talking about CPTCs in general not talking about this thread specifically

CPTC # 1 from yestersday is a mystery, though I reckon Alf_Bo11ox is right. CPTC is known. So guess away and I will let you know if you are close.

Y0!

I have a selection of bilge pics off my infuriating 'blackberry' device, so ultra-crud quality, SOZ.

Firstly check out this HOT OVER-FENCE ACTION*:

Posted Image

(*'over-fence' is surely the spotter's equivalent of furtive 'upskirt' snapping by pervs)

Now I shall spoil you with a Cat-Piss-Tarp:

Posted Image

And I nearly missed this one.

Mooching about some barns this morning hunting tat, I'd already walked right past it once and only a double take espied it hiding in the nettleZ.

Posted Image

Chopped through the undergrowth for a better look.

Have some numbers!

D-tektiv work has deduced that it is an imported Ford of some sort:Date of First Registration 17 12 1997 Year of Manufacture 1937 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 2600CC Vehicle Colour RED Other than that, no idea

Thanks! Also, just noticed the bonus Toyota Carina there. Hirstesque.

Amazing how close that looks to a Beetle.

Amazing how close that looks to a Beetle.

You're not the 1st to have noticed. You used to be able to buy various fibreglass panels to bolt to your beetle to make it look like a '40 Ford- though I think the model in your pic is a few years later than that.
Posted

The panels were availabe to make the Willys "gasser" look - you could get them for your Minor too!

I reckon that the thing under the tarp in the country garage could be ANOTHER Gordon Keeble, and they only made 90 odd of the things! I think they used used Chevy back axles, which would explain the Jag wheels [same bolt pattern] lovely cars, using a tortoise as a bonnet mascot was inspired. They do look a bit like 1 1/8 scale Fiat 124 coupes.....

As opposed to brand new ones? Recycling before the word was invented!

O-ho!

Well if he can make it down in that, I've no bloody excuse have I.

I've got 'Grease lightning' in my head now... damn.

CHECK THIS OUT.

I tried to snap this previously but the images came out duff.

It is owned by an old boy and I have been watching it become steadily shiteier for at least the last 7 years. Look at it. Marvel at it's wonderous paint (there's a big graffiti splodge on the bonnet too).

Doubtless in a few years time it will be aquired by some knucklehead who failed GCSE English (yet somehow manages to command vast sums of ready cash) and 'sorted' before being paraded on the heinous 'OldSkoolFord' web forum. Which will be a crying shame. It should be put on display in a museum. A shite museum.

Here's a pic of my environment-destroyer

I've got one of those!!!

The 'Round Lights' grille must be worth almost as much as a single part to the Old Skool boys than the car is as a whole.

Everytime I look at it, I see something else on it that makes it more shite, like the cover-sills, the hastily painted wing (no doubt with Car-Plan rattle can).

Brillint spot :D:D

Loses points for lack of Motor World value hubcaps, and the fact that it's still worth a good fifteen hundred quid regardless of the grille + lamps, but agreed - that's a timewarp, pic could so easily have been taken in 1993.

Not much bligeworthy of late. Soz.

All I can offer you is this rubbish CPTC from yesterday's visit to a -very- grand country residence.

I know that car. Isn't that on the Lower Luton Road near Batford?
