The Old Brickworks, Wilden Terrace, Pattinson South Industrial Estate., NE38 8QB Washington

it’s a friendly meet with a good variety of cars, both proper classics and old chod. and usually a coffee or burger van too.

i'm heading across in the Exo with @DVee8, meeting @Mi30n there in his mx5

here’s a video i found from a couple of years back

I'll be there in my recently aquired Tipo along with my mate in his K11 Micra, looking forward to it

Sorry for not coming along, was busy having a wedding anniversary celebration.

Are these the guys who were having problems with the roof on their building, as per a couple of the magazines recently? Hope things are moving in the right direction for them.

Shame I'm not closer, looks like a good place

the building is an old brickworks and the roof is knackered, they are raising funds to repair / replace the roof - they host several shows and autojumbles throughout the year and welcome visitors and new members to the club

I saw a big old Yank estate rumble past me last night while I was walking the dogs. He gave a proper throttle blip for my benefit as he went around a roundabout.  Lovely stuff.

this aston martin and merc were owned by a lovely older couple, i commented that i bet it sounds amazing and he started it up to demonstrate :) then his wife insisted he did the same with her merc !

on the way there, @Mi30n said he heard something drop from his car, we stopped and had a look but found nothing so carried on.

half way home, his car started to lurch to the left on braking so we nursed it back to investigate

turns out he had lost a nut from the front wishbone !

and the long bolt was half hanging out at the front of the wishbone

could have been disastrous as hooning did occur - i robbed one off the exo to get him home while a replacement is ordered

Shame this isn't happening on a weekend, starting too early and a bit too far to make it worth it for me.

although it starts at 4, we didn’t get there until 6pm and there were still plenty of folk arriving after us.

surely it’s just a quick blast down the a68 for you ?
