That's likely in addition to the handbrake warnings

The poor woman in the speaking computer must be getting a sore throat by now.

These chase sport as much as you’d expect btw. Can get a right good squeal out of them if you unleash the full V6 power

Really is practical this. That’s a boxed e-bike

It definitely needs some love though. ABS/ESP warning keeps coming and going, electronic parking brake is fully inoperative which will be an issue for the MOT and the gearbag is really quite poorly.

Do you think the gearbox behavior is coming down to an overdue service? Most Vel Satis owners claim that the first gear shunt is typical and usually something to either ignore or replace the valve body for. I haven't heard of any automatic gearbox wearing out its valve body within 100k miles but then again this is early 2000s Renault, they'd somehow manage.

These AW55 boxes are renowned for it. A few fluid changes can sort them out quite a bit I’m told.

Our old blue laguna did this too near its end (wasn't the worst issue that car ended it's life with though ).

I always wondered how a nice flush would hve solved it. In the end I just learned to drive around it. Try and be soft back on the throttle from a coast then foot down and it seemed to stop the big shunt it did as it shifted the gear. Happened mostly after I'd been coasting a bit at medium speeds
