Oh yeah and, 'engine-raped' 'engine rapist' etc-

Would be quite funny to write dictionary style definitions of these. A bit like the profainasuarus.

I do now find myself referring to Vauxhall "Disastras" :D

"Dry-bummed" and "bum-raped" are two I've picked up from here, and actually used too!

What you on Eddy, you're (almost) in Greece, they invented that kind of thing*

Let's not forget about VX 'Ashtrays' - especially amusing when some gallous young acquaintance goes all boasty about their Astra coupé :D

Anyway, I generally use all of the lingo from here with regard to motors - some of it i reckon was more regional but now is standard crap car talk. 'Wad' for filler amuses me and is now my standard word for it..

Another word for filler I picked up from here is "wob". And courtesy of the grumpy thread, "mouth breather" is a good word to describe often used to describe "Joe Public"

Thanks to Autoshite, I've taken to referring to my car as 'shite, but in a good way' and when it goes wrong it's not a problem it's 'interesting'. This doesn't seem to make my passengers feel any more at ease, if anything it makes them look slightly more nervous than before they saw the car.

I like to refer to whatever rammle I'm driving about in at the time as "shite, not shit - there is a difference" which equally does absolutely nothing to make my passengers feel more at ease.

I also like to refer my 72 hours of Volvo 740 waftiness as "interesting", and since it's demise I refer to the car in general as "the comfiest place I've ever broken down".

When driving along I often classify cars the other cars on the road as "shit", "nice" or "shite" - with "shit" being by far the most common and "shite" obviously being the best!

Where I come from, filler is often called "tetty" after Tetrion 90, other brands being available.

I used this the other day while driving round Holyhead, and had to explain to Mrs_Duke what it meant... she was in stitches :D

Yeah, this is another I'm guilty of using... regarding the filler debate, our buses are repaired using "bondo and catalloy", though my boss does come out with some rather amusing statements - his current favourite is where bolts have rubbed away panel mountings, they are reattached using "bigger repair washers".
