Autoshite on Wikipedia....

Kenny, if he wants to know about a 19-yr old, Ã‚£275, eBay-sourced ragtop that is the butt of the motoring press's humour and yet has achieved 15000 miles commuting in nine months on parts-worns and just one breakdown, send him my way. The car wear 3 AS stickers and can transport a dining table and 4 chairs if needed.

Yeah, send it him - I've always said that Autocar needs to move away from "Exciting new Jaguar that will thrash the German's for 20XX " headlines and get into the "OMG No OMGHGF MGF Shocker."

The tidy 406 featured in this week's looks familiar  - is it one of the Facebook Heathens? I think we need to be "Subtle" - something like

Bert Scroggins bought his Horsey Horseless for £500. He Said: "That was in 2013, just after the cat died. I've done over 20,000 miles and apart from tyres and new brake pads and discs all round, (which was something I would have not accomplished on my own without the help of the brilliant and enthusiastic Autoshite.Com forum - ask about the square sausages) it has been totally reliable."

What we really need him to do is run an article about the Autoshite ethos - he knows that there's an difference between what we do & his bangernomics movement, it just needs putting down in paper. In fact, there are a few threads in here about "what is Autoshite?", they've probably got tons of ready-made copy right there.

And he'd be reporting about a real thing in the real automotive world, so his editor will be happy. And that's what Wikipedia want to see, too... reports in the mainstream automotive press that relate to Autoshite.

Everybody wins :-)

How did you lot end up having to buy all your crude from Brent? Over 'ere, we get a much better deal from the Shale brothers: Leonard and Marcellus, through their intermediaries in West Texas. But you do have vastly superior camel piss so, good on yer, and that.

p.s. I quite like the facebook group. All for one and one for all. They let me join, so they can't be all bad.

Are you sure you want to attribute that quote to Mr. Oscar Fingal O'Flaherty Wills Wilde?

Groucho Marks is also available should you wish to credit the quote to him....

^ He's even more available if you spell his name correctly.

*It's an Uncyclopedia joke, to falsely attribute quotes to Oscar Wilde:

"I never said half of the things I said."

   --Oscar Wilde

...maybe we can cite Uncyclopedia as a source?*...of...misinformation, y'see...

I think it would be a fun way to get on the wiki radar, after all, their sarcastic tone is not entirely unknown to (most of) those on this board...
