I've seen the Ghia which needs welding on ebay for £400, but I'm after a solid one. Preferably for similar money... Anyone know of one?

Did they even make a 2.0 4x4? I thought they all were 2.9's, i know the Mondeo came in 2.0 4x4.

They did make a 2.0 4x4, but it must be quite a rare one! But then again, most of the 4 wheel drive Sierras are pretty scarce now, theres an XR4x4 and a 2.9 GLS 4x4 in Basingstoke but neither are estates. They are availible in Ghia and GT spec only.

Is this for you? Or someone else? Considering you can also get larger engined ones Im guessing its not for you.

Thinking about it i did drive a K plate Sierra 2.0 XR4X4 years ago so they must be out there, i remember it being a bit gutless.

There's a lovely Sapphire Chasseur with a 3.0 V6 on autotrader but i can't add link so i'm on phone, it says it's an African import?

I've never owned a Ford but ever since ooh 1987 I've always wanted a Mercury Grey mk2 Ghia 4x4 Estate with the roof rails, the big-engined sucker in me would like the 2.9 but I'm sure it might piss me off fuel-wise.

Personally, I've had about 7 4x4 V6s (including a twin turbo estate), and no 2.0 ones (My Cossie was RWD..)

 

It's for one of my Czech friends, to replace his very nearly terminally rusty, but much loved 2.0 CL 4x4. This one.

 

 

He's had it for a good few years, and mechanically it's blob on, but the bodywork has seen much better days. He lives in a rural bit of Bohemia, about 3/4 mile from the nearest main road and it gets hammered. It's ace, but he could really do with a better one.

 

Converting one to LHD isn't a problem.
