With apologies to @Hawkeyethenoo who posted this in the modern section, I thought this deserved its own post. 

Rudi Klein ran a scrap yard, and sounds like your stereotypical scrapyard owner - big chain link fences, angry dogs etc. Thing is, his scrapyard was in Los Angeles and specialised in 50s and 60s exotica, and now its being auctioned off. Anyone fancy a Miura?

Chap I worked with had one of the two JP special Lotus Esprit that was driven by one of the  two Lotus F1 drivers. One night he stopped at a set of lights in central London and the other one pulled up alongside driven by one of the famous racing drivers. He said they cooly acknowledged each other then drove off on their separate journeys. He was dead chuffed.

Anyway, Lotus didn't like the fact that one of these cars was floating around London with a 23 year old at the wheel so decided they wanted to buy it back off him. Eventually a deal was done where they gave him a brand new Esprit in exchange.

Memory time over, back to work.
