So me and my lad went to stuttgart to go to Porsche and Mercedes museums. The town is lovely, there are Porsches and Mercedes everywhere lol.

The museums are amazing, only a tenner to get in each one.

Not sure anyone interested in pics but I'll throw alot up and have a look if ya like, any questions fire away!

Nice! Thanks for sharing.

Was surprised that in the Merc museum there didn't appear to be any W140s (although I'm guessing there would be?) But otherwise good to see a S224 estate in there albeit a bit older than the one I had.

Good to know that they are pretty cheap to get into, so the next time I ever find myself wandering around Stuttgart then I'll definitely be passing.

Thanks for those!  A few more "wild" shots than my visit 15 months ago, but nice to see the two museums are pretty much as I remember.  I loved that early 911 Targa...

I’ve done both museums, three times!

Im a bit of an addict!

The Porsche museum is excellent and Mercedes much better than that.

Would recommend both to anyone.

I went to both museums about 14(!) years ago. The Porsche museum was decidedly underwhelming at that time as they were still building the current place however I loved the Mercedes museum, they really appreciated their heritage which was nice to see.

The only thing that surprised me was the factory tour they offered next door (do they still do this?). At that time the factory built the small Merc diesel engine (1.8 from memory, that went im the A class and probably the C). Anyway, it was like stepping back to the dark ages of manufacturing, I couldn't quite believe it. At that time myself and my mates who were visiting worked for Perkins and Cummins and we agreed that our factories were about 30 years ahead in terms of tech and cleanliness.

Maybe not surprising that they ditched that engine shortly after in favour of the Renault/ Dacia 1.5 dci.

We also paid homage to the Stuttgart Wine Festival which was excellent. I don't have many memories of that evening....

Very interested in doing both museums, having done a couple of extreme day trips before, if I could make the flights work I'd seriously consider going over for the day.

Nice pics, seems strange to see a yellow SLK at a museum. Must make ours worth £xxxxx!
