Collecting a boat?

It’ll be a Gibbs Aquada or a Mercedes Sea Class.

The bonnet release behind the Ford badge is missing - there's just a hole where the lock should be.  I can  see the "cross" mechanism buried far away behind the grill.  Any top tips on what I can mackle up to release the bonnet?  Youtube has some tips on breaking in if the lock is fucked but nothing much on what to do if the lock is just not there.  I need to top up the screenwash and I'd like to check the oil.

ETA also didn't want to break anything as it's not mine.

Hi, In the glovebox is a rolls royce  silver shadow wiper arm. If you use the end of this, insert it through the hole where the badge is and engage with the mechanism. (this rolls royce component was the special tool I mentioned in the sale ad 😂)

IIRC one way will pop the bonnet onto its catch, then the other way whilst lifting the bonnet with the safety catch disengaged.

That's so funny - I looked in the glovebox and thought WTF is this doing in here?  Many thanks.

Random fact - this actually has one of the best stereos I have heard in a car.  I am an inveterate bbc R4/5 listener but the radio reception is hopeless.  I assume it's a powered aerial that has gone dead.

So I took a couple of my "mixtape" CDs along.

They aren't anything outstanding - burned using itunes on my old desktop PC.

I actually heard a bit of saxophone in Born To Run I had never heard before.
