A load of old Notts spots

These have been cluttering up 'My Pictures' for months now; time to share them with you Shitemeisters...

This lovely Peugeot has been abandoned at a garage in Edwinstowe, possibly by Maid Marian when she married R. Hood there. When I took shittographs they begged me to take the whole wretched car, but it was to no avail:

Nearly nice 1974 Herald, plus spare fibreglass bonnet, found while inspecting chickens on a remote farm near Southwell:

Posted Image

Not really shite: cute Austin which may be seen near King John's Palace in Clipstone:

Posted Image

Another of our French friends. I cheated and took pictures of wrecks round the back of a repair shop:

Posted Image

This was nearby:

Posted Image

Also in Clipstone, it has been like this for months in a public car park:

Wonderful Beetle Garden in Nottingham:

Posted Image

So good I had to take another picture of it. Wish I lived opposite:

Posted Image

Blue, blue, electric blue. That's the colour of this, er, Bluebird:

Posted Image

Beeming away:

Posted Image

Discovered this more-or-less Notshite Bond Equipe amongst some bins, getting shat on by small birds:

Posted Image

The owner was a nice chap who came out & told me a bit about it.

Posted Image

He said he had done it up twice before, but is willing to part with it if anyone's interested:

Posted Image

I suggested moving it out of range of the birdshit. Probably the closest I'll ever come to finding a Bugatti in a barn.

Posted Image

Useful sort of sign in Rainworth:

Posted Image

I wish they used honest adjectives more in signs: 'Crap Motorway Services', 'Filthy Canal', 'Ugly Modern Building', 'Village Full of Cunts', etc.

More soon...

Muahaha.... :lol::lol::lol:

That Bond is fab, reminds me of the only GT4S that i've seen with any regularity, which used to be parked in much the same position in a garden near my mum's house. Gone now of course, often wonder what became of it. I reckon there are probably just as many Equipes sitting in gardens as there are on the road, judging by people's spotted threads on here... (I believe it's known as Scimiter-itis)

There's a nursery (the plant kind, not the other sort full of puling infants) on the A60 near Mansfield where they've left a few shite projects mouldering away. This Watershite probably takes the ship's biscuit (it's 150 miles from the nearest sea at Skeggy):

Posted Image

There is a nice Austin 1300 which has been brutally murdered & chopped into bits:

Posted Image

He is obviously planning to do it up one day; after all, it's protected from the rain, isn't it?

Posted Image

While I was admiring his caravans, noticed the GT's doors:

Posted Image

Oh yes, and the suspension:

Posted Image

It was so thoughtful of him to use transparent plastic, wasn't it? Talking of orange:

Posted Image

Notshite Beetle that tried to chat up my KG in a carpark. And a Notshite KG at Martin's Motorworks:

Posted Image

I am hideous, Orange. Well, this is:

Posted Image

Someone here once said he didn't believe in Foxes, so I have tried to capture images of them ever since. Near Mansfield:

Posted Image

And the You-couldn't-make-it-up Police Fox in Oxford:

Posted Image

I know it's not the Real Rozzers, but all the same, has to be preserved for an unbelieving posterity. Volkswagen affecionados will know that VW always has to have a Shitter in its lineup. When I was a lad it was this:

Posted Image

Absolutely perfect Variant spotted at Stanford Hall Volksorgy a couple of weeks ago. This gem had a nice lady owner who had driven it up from Cheltenham. Here's a great detail:

Posted Image

More from Stanford later. Professional repair spotted at Hucknall:

Posted Image

Further shittifers to follow...

Hmmm. Ponders if the Bond owner was after lots of money. I don't need it, I really don't!

Classic Fox:

Sample house on rough Oxford estate where you do not want to get caught photographing people's shite:

Posted Image

This is about 30 feet long:

Posted Image

You probably need someone sitting at the other end just to park it:

Posted Image

Amazing old boy with Kubelwagen at Stanford:

Posted Image

Its somewhat basic interior:

Posted Image

He had a camping stove & brewed up in there. Next to it was this Schwimmwagen:

Posted Image

Useful in floods, obviously. Here, for you Shite in Miniature fans, are my (dusty) toy ones:

Posted Image

Absolute shittifer:

Posted Image

Historic sign in Mansfield...

Posted Image

...but the burgers are made from Ye King's Own Venison (yeah, and Robin brought the kebab recipe back from the Crusades).

Lovely Morris in leafy West Bridgford which also had a rather lovely lady owner who was prettily charmed that her wheels got photographed for Autoshite:

Posted Image

New to me, this was badged Nelson:

Posted Image

Looks like a lot of fun:

Posted Image

Depressing Peugeot:

E cut me up, officah. Itz doin my ead in, innit?

Glorious Derbyshire Reliant Royale:

In France it's called un 'alf pounder...

They sent me to Retford and I was wandering about thinking 'Is this a nice town?' This tree in the park soon answered my question:

Posted Image

Oi, you've parked in the farkin edge agin, Dad:

Posted Image

Scandinavian beauty:

Scirocco down in Oxfordshire:

Interesting plate. Discord:

If you're ever afraid you've parked badly, just remember this:

I was intrigued:

And another of those signs that makes you wonder if these people ever thought about how meaningless their jobs & lives really are?

In the Holy City of Bilsthorpe.

Some good spots! I also like the commentary, poor tree. There has to be at least one mouldy Capri in every town in the UK, surely?

Appreciate the pics.. but Retford isnt that bad!

Posted

You are right Gompo; Retford is really quite pleasant:

Posted Image

Postcard of famous gun captured at Sevastopol in the Crimean War & jealously guarded by Retford ever since.

Posted Image

Architecturally-superior theatre entrance. (No doubt they will replace the tree.)

And you've got a Wilko!
