This made me laugh the other day. The driver of this Hyundai Accent must have been about a hundred and he was poddling along at around 25 mph. He must have had some trouble parking as the rear bumper showed signs of been giffer-sprayed a couple of times and check out what looks to be (in addition to the proper ones) some sort of home made sensor or something!

As if that weren't enough plus the HEEOWGE automatic script, spot the Honda Accord badges?? I really hope what happened was this when he went to the breakers asking for some replacement badges after the local rapscallions nicked his:

"What car are they for sir?"

"Oh, it's a foreign one, funny name, Hondy I think"

"You mean Honda sir? Which model?"

"Er, Acc something, er..."

"Honda Accord?"

"Aye that's it lad!"

Unfortunately the originals are stickers on these so probably not...

Not sure what's going on there, maybe he just forgot what it was. Those later Accents seem to go for buttons, I wouldn't mind a 4-door one so I could pretend I'm driving around in a rental car.

Maybe he had an Accord of sentimental value, and took the badges off when he sold it / it died ?

Have to wonder how sentimental he could get considering they're off the mid 90s model.

There was a Hyundai Subaru Accent WRX near me when I was in the UK. So much quicker than your lame VTEC effort methinks

Anyone else spot the IAM sticker in the window? He must be REALLY observant....

I think you need to ask the question "would I do that?"I have a great deal of affection for an old Renault 5 and still have the badge at home. Am I likely to attach it to my Leon? Not particularly.....On my tool box? Well I thinks thats fair enough, bit of box customisation!

There's a Rover 25 near me that is literary smothered in badges, like it's crashed into Halfords or something, even with MG badges.

The reverse engineering side of it holds more appeal to me. A Mitsubishi Lancer Evo FQ360 with Hyundai Accent badging would surely make the ultimate Q-car. :)

Even better as a 'Carisma diesel'...

Hee, hee! I'm fortunate enough to get a new Merc E350 coupe as a company car. Having seen what that old giffer has done, I am SO tempted to buy a 'DAEWOO' and 'ESPERO' badge for the back....kind of reverse psychology!!!:lol:
