It’s on offer again on eBay with a coupon from Carousel Car Parts: CCP20OFF

I’ve just bought 2x5 litres of the bog standard 5/30 for £19.99

These prices are looking good!

Could anyone point me towards something similar but suitable for an old 1980s Kubota mini tractor? B6100D.. diesel 3 cylinder Kubota engine...

I think it would be rude not to give it an oil & filters change!

I think the book says 15/40 but internutters have said 5/40 is "ok" & easier to start... 🤷🏼‍♂️

This was quite interesting:

Quite a lot of these cheaper brands don't actually meet their specs quoted on the bottles. Mannol have quite a few. So have ECP/GSF on brands.

Tbh actual oil specs probably don't really matter too much to the vast majority of engines out there. Let's face it, we all know people running engines that hasn't had an oil changed in 30k+ or even more. Yet the engines run fine despite no doubt been widely out of spec.

So I'll continue using this oil for my older/cheaper stuff that is past end of life to most. However for the cars that are worth actual decent money (like my wife's Civic), I'll continue using the good expensive branded stuff (genuine Honda oil in my case).

I’ve just had 20L of the 10W40 classic delivered (ordered Friday night), from eBay seller “lubricant_solution” which seems to be another account for Carousel Car Parts, the main Mannol seller.

They have a 15% off June-only code so it was £29.04 - cheapest I’ve seen so far.

Seems to have been *corrected ☹️

Sorry about that - you’re right, it was 30% originally on a base price of £41.49; now it’s 15% and they are all much the same at c.£35 net.  I didn’t want to post until it was delivered, given all the previous issues with cancellations…

ordered from this listing https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/196454149614 was £32.99 on Friday but radio silence and not dispatched yet so might be worth avoiding.....

Not sure about that seller but carousel car parts have taken a good couple of weeks to actually deliver on one occasion for me, it's just a case of sitting on your hands waiting for it to arrive. It should do, eventually, you just won't know when, nor get any communication from them!
