I really like these,  the only reason I sold mine was because the kids couldn't fit in the back anymore.

Would recommend, even of the breather system is an over-complicated mess. 😄

My my mate had a 3.2 one of these with SC04TTT back when they were new.

I really like mine, I just wish I could drive it more as its ostensibly my wife's runner.

I drove this back from Leeds…. Thing that impressed most was the comfort…. And the lack of niggles. There’s usually something that irritates… not in this

I mean, you can get full eBay special kits for about two Bob, but changing it all is a fuck on. Especially when the main steel skinned breather from the crankcase has gone fragile as fuck and is stuck in place with carbonised oil 😳. Good luck Col. Otherwise good units.

Bonny colour scheme and I still reckon anything mk4 golf turbo based is an inherently good car. Despite anything @twosmoke300 and @SiC might say 😋

They're decent to drive and comfortable for covering long distances. Especially with cruise control making it easier. Not terrible fuel economy either. I mean there is a good reason why I've had mine for nearly a year now

Just an absolute arse to work on! Everything crammed in unnecessarily and brittle from the heat of the engine. I mean they can't even make the silver TT name badge stick on properly and they invariably fall off leaving the red backing 🤣

But if you outsource repairs then it's not something too bothering...

Mine is okay for the moment but it's something I'm probably going to end up doing as some point as mine are all original. Apparently silicone pipes last longer and cheaper to buy as lengths than the premade setups. But it's all working fine at the moment so I'm going to not touch any of it. No doubt as soon as anyone has to, it'll all just crack just looking at it.

Throw it all in the bin and fit a catch can. I clean it about once a month with no issues.

Keep a close eye on it in winter, especially as you're in Scotland. The condensation can freeze the contents up and cause problems.
