Ashmicro - Thanks for the offer, I may well be in touch regarding that.Lordsterling - No problem with you putting these up on the 800 forum whatsoever. That German reg`d one looks stunning, I`ve only ever seen that colour on 200s and 600s, really does it some favours.

Well done! It looks super but I'm biased because I have an 800 as well, but not an exotic coupe though!

Thanks Vic :D And if you need any help/advice/parts on these PM me or drop into Rover800.info

I see a few saloons and hatches, but no coupes, rare beasts now. When I lived in Slough, a woman who worked for my parents owned one with her husband, and yes before anyone asks, they were over 60. Bloody comfortable car, back then the police used them too. Great buy!Oh and Lord Sterling, I got some pictures you can have as well, I got some shots of an earlier 800 a week ago.

I am not going to refuse that !
Bring your camera! Much shite spottage to be enjoyed where it is now. You can even have a legal drive of it 'cos there is loads of space and it's behind a barrier.

That is really nice, I think ive only seen one or two of these in the flesh. What were these in competion with when new?

Nice mota GR8 4 PULLIN AT DA CONVERSATIVE CLUB.

How many key fobs did you get with it?

I think that slacks should be mandatory when driving these.

The Honda Legend Coupe was one competitor and unfortuately leagues ahead of the Rover as Honda had brought out a whole new Legend in '91 with a new 3.2 V6 which had nothing whatsoever in common with the Rover 800 unlike the previous generation Legend, it was a remarkable car that only lost out to Lexus in my opinion because Honda's fwd V6 wasn't as good as Lexus' rwd V8 set-up.

Lexus Soarer was probably in a higher class than the Rover 800 Coupe and I think it was an import anyway (?)

These big Rovers have a fashion-based immobiliser system, it wouldn't start for Vic because he was wearing jeans at the time so it assumed he was a thug. Luckily, I waved a loafer in front of the keyhole and it fired straight up.

Cheers for that shite_meister.I didnt know they were unrelated, the Rover still floats my boat more though.

Surely "Cook, Pass" would be the version to have, unless you prefer having cows thrown at you?
