Posted Image

was parked in a barn for 5 years now been outside for afew years too, sadly its time is up as the owners decided to strip and weigth the car in

below : funny place from outside looks jut like an average barn, but does have a heavy machinery parked outside the door, a look round back and through the bushes reveals..

by far the hardest place i've been into you had to climb on top of cars 2 high to get around all the brambles..

(this place is still the same and untouched

Is the little fibreglass sportscar in the first set of pics a Matra D Jet or an Alpine A106?There seems to be some lovely abandoned shite in France, like the type I used to dream about stumbling on when I was younger. I used to be a serious enamel sign perv (I had about 20) but have slimmed it down to a couple of large Shell \ Renault jobbies a tube sign from Russell Square and some guff from Les Routes National (and a massive grille shell from a Citroen Camionette). The last sign I had was bought by a bloke in New Zealand on eBay who paid a shitload for shipping because he'd been searching for a Sternol hoarding for nearly 10 years, and was overjoyed he'd found one. After assuring me he wasn't taking the piss, the shipping was more than the sign went for, but he didn't care, he said he'd have it no matter what and outbid two local dealers.Hence, I would have probably had that old sign away given half a chance. I even found one buried underneath a pile of scrap at a railway siding in Hale. It was covered in this crust of bitumen that revealed a nearly perfect sign underneath when scraped off.

I like that audi estate, you should get it VWP! They are lovely motors.

Lovely stuff John! That Djet/Alpine is deffo an Alpine A108, the 2+2 one. The 'unkown' with all the Prinz' is an NSU Wankel Spider, which was the first rotary NSU, basically a Sport Prinz with the roof lopped off. Very rare and worth a few coins nowdays.
