Must be this data protection legislation. I was curious to know where the previous owner of mine lived. Mine's Essex registration, bought by myself in Suffolk, currently in Norfolk. tooSavvy
tooSavvy
Ahh.... 'Extreme Stress Testing' of cabin demisters 😮😮... Driving through the biggest, monsterish thunderstorm evvah ☔⚡🌩️... I notice the screen and both front windows are fogging up >> Demist selected/mid warm heat knob/ force3 fan ... 🤔 Nope 😧 ... still losing vision! HOT as furnace + Gale force 4 fan... Slowly recovering/fogging retreats up drivers window ✔️. I'm not actually complaining [it does work!] but melts your face in the heat. I know some cars have a sort of pipe duct - coming into the door gap and linking to vents along the bottom of the window. Probably very effective >>> not Getz >>> just a slot in the edge of the dash top and 97.73% of the 'warm whoosh' doesn't lick the glass/defogging 😕 I'm going to 'lash up' a 1/4bottom, off a 2L coke bottle, and see [pun...!!] when the thunderstorms are on again IF a redirect of the defogg jet will clear the window any more effectively/quicker. The dash is massive and if it was to work ok it won't be a bother 👌. Bring It ON 🤣 privatewire, Matty and Jim Bell

tooSavvy
Well, well, well...... I contacted a guy on Fleebay, a few days ago and asked him to look at the ET50/39? He got back today and said he couldn't identify the ET number... BUT... As he was sick of tripping over them, I could have the four NIX... aye NADA 👌🥳 ...... tooSavvy
I'm not one to worry....much.... I popped into my local 'oily rag' outfit, looking for some Cambelt action (I have the Gates kit), and with a mildly timorous smile he asks 'pop the bonnet' >>> peering at the cam cover end, stroking his bottom lip, he opines 'well, dunno, like...yknow... cam locking tool, yknow...' I said "it's a single sprocket and the second cam is chain driven, seems straightforward enough"...."You not ever done a Hi n Dri'?" He asks I ring him tomorrow afternoon, when he has [Utoobd] looked into the doings... He's cheap, he's local, he's enthusiastic, I'm a cheap fu#k..... 🙄🤦 egg, privatewire, PicantoJon and 3 others 1

ruffgeezer
Re: the fogging - I gave my front screen a good clean with some glass cleaner last night ( the good studd that smells like vinegar mixed with catpiss) and I can report that nonsuch fogging occurred on my journey home this morning. "Why dont you try it at home at home?" As Anthea Turner once said on her 'Aerobics a d Bean Flicking' dvd. tooSavvy
