Just bought this from the Bay of 'E.....

 

 

 

 

1998 BMW 318i 4-dr Manual. It's done 185k but has mostly BMW service history. Has a couple of things wrong with it - small oil leak from somewhere and the wheels tramline but I'm sure that's down to tracking?? And a couple of rusty bits but apart from that is typical German engineering

 

It drives beautifully. Pick it up tomorrow!

mine tramlines on original alloys though so is it not more down to big wheels and tyres

It's a term used to describe the way the car's tyres will tend to follow ruts and raised white lines etc.

Nice, I have an E36 myself.

 

Thing with the E36 is its one of those cars (like the Pug 205) that look shit on anything other than standard wheels, if this were mine I'd get a set of standard 15" alloys which will not only be cheap to buy but you'll find it will drive so much nicer and you can sell the wheels, the only thing is though that only mongs fit these wheels to E36s so be prepared to deal with some grade-A dickheads.
