Rather than skulking around the house for four days, my wife and I have decided to drive over to Poland to spend Easter with my in-laws. The plan is:Leave work @ 4:30pm.Get home @ 5pm.Get changed and jump in the (already packed) car @ 5:15pm.Drive to Dover via the M40, M25 and the M20 and arrive @ 9:15pm.Get across the sea and be in Calais @ 1am (European time).Drive across France, Belgium, Holland, Germany and into Poland, stopping twice / three times for petrol and arrive in Poznan @ circa 10am.Spend 3 days in Poland and drive back again on Sunday night, to arrive back in Blighty by mid morning on Monday. We're taking my wife's Megane, which had a full service (by Renault) last week so it's ready to go. Not sure the Merc is up to the journey and the three of us (little Charlie is coming with us) won't fit in the MR2.Gimme a wave if you see me!Peter C

Gonna be driving at night so won't see much across central Europe, but I'll snap some proper shite in Poland - that's a promise!

Wow! What a great way to spend the weekend, nice one. There are lots of Polski ladies in Leicester - I like! Lots! UKIP can go f**k themselves as far as I'm concerned.

I've driven to Poland and will do again at Christmas, I found driving during the daytime fine but when I was driving back through the night in a snow storm was hell, I was literally falling asleep at the wheel-scary! if you feel tired just make sure you take a break if only for half an hour, oh and I could not find something like pro-plus anywhere in Europe.Remember to take loads of pics-I suspect over the next few years Fiat Maluchs/Daewoo Ticos/FSO Polonezezesezes will be a rare sight in a sea of VAG so to speak.Have a good 'un.
