Anyone going to save this?

Right chaps, placed this on eBay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :IT&ih=018but nobody seemed to love it enough to adopt it. I thought a hundred quid was pretty reasonable given that there's people out there bidding one and a half grand on a Mini estate with more holes in it than a Parisian brothel. Apparently not though... perhaps, in future, I should be a a bit more economical with the truth Anyway, the garage where it's stored is being very tedious to my parents about keeping it any longer, so if nothing happens within the next few days it's getting chucked out. My parents's plan is to invite the local classic Saab specialist to have a look round and see what parts he can take off it. (He's got a splandid collection of Swede-shite!) Before he does that, though, does anyone want the whole thing to coax back into life? If so make me a nominal offer (anything!), I'll put you in touch with my parents, and please take it away. The car's in the north-west tip of Wales, my parents are on the Wirral. Have you put this plea on the Saab forum? Please do, or start the ebay auction at £1, it will probably sell for more than £100, if I hadn't spent £396 on tax, and having a day off and acting on a lead, bought a Land Rover today (please see seperate thread) I might've been in a financial position to help, skint now sorry!

It was up on the Saab forum, but that shut down in December...Am quite tempted by the idea of £1 on a short listing. Would 1 day be enough do people reckon? Haven;t sold a car before, much less on ebay!Well done on the Landy btw!

Nope, Saab forum's back on! http://www.uksaabs.co.uk/UKS/I'd do a 3 day listing on ebay just to get a few people looking and tell them you want it gone within 1 week, should work, there's a lot of tits on there but by and large bidders are serious! If people need quotes to transport it I have a very reasonable fella!

Personally I'd do £1 start bid on a 10-day auction, starting on a Thursday evening. That means it ends on a Sunday evening - when most people are likely to be able to get to their computer without life interrupting - and you get the benefit of 2 whole weekends' exposure.I reckon you'd be bid up to £80 in a relatively short space of time with people wanting to make a couple of quid weighing it in, and the bidding activity will then (hopefully) encourage some Saab resto fans.
