Yes they did..I also remember seeing them with 'proper' XR2i front & rear bumpers....

Almost as outdated as the MAX POWER sticker in the back window.I never realised how few Mk3 XR2i Fiestas remain. Went looking for one on the bay a few weeks ago and all that came up were one or two shit ones with tacked on (read held on with rivets) fiberglass skirts and rear wing extensions. Looked like shoulder pads on a horse!

yep i do remember XR2i bumpers on them, maybe this ones just a RS extra cost option kit (would make it even rarer i guess)

My unit mate runs a Fiesta van as his daily, well he did until recently. Not sure if it was an XRV though. It's a proper Mk 3 van though, and registered as such. And it's a bloody early one as well, it's on an F plate.

The Mk3 XR2i was a dissapointment to drive in almost every respect compared to the mk2 XR2. Things only improved slightly when they put the Zetec units into the later ones.Despite what some say, the early Zetec engines (especially the 1.8's) are really good engines as long as the oil is changed on time.I owned a rare Orion around 5 years ago, it was a K reg Ghia Si (130PS) meaning it had the Fiesta RS1800 zetec fitted from the factory chucking out 130 bhp, now that was a fantastic car, total peach of an engine! 8) Also had a Cassette player and a CD player which was a bit of an OMG and retro cool.

Does the XRV have the XR2i's running gear, or it just a styling job?

OOh, memories! We had one at work as a parts delivery van brand new in 1992.Signwritten, big stripe kit and sideskirt/wheeltrim combo FTW!As an overkeen 19 year old, I was allowed to take it home the first day we had it (the manager was on holiday at the time) and naturally I drove it (as Clarkson would say) as if my trousers were on fire.I hit the drop kerb of my parents driveway about 20mph faster than usual in a day old van only to hear an awful scrape/crump noise from the front end.Suddenly my enthusiasm drained away as I had a vision of me in the office explaining to an angry boss how I destroyed the front end of his new van.It must have taken me 5 minuutes to get up the courage to get out and see what had happened.Nothing! I couldn't see any damage at all. :-)Closer inspection revealed a groove in the pavement in line with the towing eye, which was now a bit flat at the bottom, but you had to lay on the floor to spot it, so I kept schtum!Sadly it was spirited away by the local nerdowells.J937UEW IIRC.
