My Riva 1300 broke down on Edge Lane in Liverpool, luckily near a phone box. There was this scabby looking woman stood in the phone box, who moved out of the way so I could make a call. I got back in the car and the woman came and knocked on the window. She said "are you looking for business luv?", which freaked me out!

I went back to the phone box, as I was expecting a call back, but some bloke kept phoning up asking for "Julie", to which I replied "you've got the wrong number mate". Years later I realised that he was probably this woman's pimp!

Strangely, it's the only time I've ever seen anyone like that down Edge Lane...
