A 500 cc Bullet, quite rare even back then, my second bike was a 350 cc Bullet purchased for £6 in 1966.

That bike unexpectedly played a part in my lifelong interest in Series Land Rovers.

I go up that slip road almost every day. The A1 is now the A19 after the Western By-Pass was built on the west side of Newcastle. The flats are long gone, replaced by houses now.
