How lovely, I love seeing well preserved photos of times past like that.

tell you what, I could look at pictures like these all day. I member some old photies of me sat in shorts on the front of an old austin cambridge in the olden days but they have got lost so you are all saved, however!!!!! I will scan some photies of some old shite I had in the 80's and post them. Ie learning to drive in an Austin 1300 estate!!! which was part exchanged for a brand new Seat Ibiza in 1986 which I saw at the moter show in london and fell in love with. it was a pile of shite and so unreliable and could rust for spain. bring back the 1300.

Glad some are enjoying them.

Here are some more.

What I'm really looking for is a very early one of the whole family (and it was a big family back then) in one gigantic car. In the search I'm finding these ones I'm posting which give quite an insight into our family in the early 1900s.

I'll ask my parents if they recognise anyone. :)There are hundreds of photos here and I'm just pulling out the ones with vehicles in. Most are loose and don't seem to have anything written on the back. :(

The wifes grandfather sometime in the 30's

Sometime in the late 60's I think.

Will have a look for some stuff with car related shite on it.

These are great - I love old photos. Nothing as good from my family's collection - neither side owned a car until well into the 60s, and the only photo is a closeup of an Escort's bonnet after someone vandalised it

Great photo's!, I was going through my wife's nan's old photo's the other week, She's 82 so there was some good stuff like photo's of there old sit up and beg Popular and a 105E as well as a photo of a pet shop in Colchester from 1937 that's she's stood outside with pet welfare adverts on the wall, really interesting stuff.

Great photos Keef.

I have posted these before, but here are one or two I've managed to acquire from the family:

Dad at Martlesham Police HQ skidpad. I went there myself in the mid-90s.

Me cooped up in the back of the Allegro 1500. What chance did I have with an upbringing like this?

Posted Image

Grandad. Obviously, as who else would buy a brown Marina new?

Posted Image

An Austin which I think was my Grandad's.

My stepdad.
