As far as I can tell the admins have resisted all attempts at communication and have washed their hands of the place. I'd like to be proved wrong, but as Mr. B said this place is one technical glitch away from oblivion.

This is the last message I got from Electric Leyland a few weeks ago, I've not heard anything since though.

 

Hi Trig, hit a brick wall because there's some corruption going on behind the scenes with the forum meaning we are having loads of trouble logging on as Administrators. We need to be able to do this in order to make the changes. Blakey (the clever techie one) is on the case in Spain but we haven't heard from him for a few days, can't push him too much as he's a busy guy and only fixes things for us as favours as and when he can. I'll chase him up again now, sorry for this delay....

Just a line to say that after changing my email address associated with the main forum it required for me to be reapproved, the net result being now stuck here in autoshite purgatory...

In all seriousness, maybe upping sticks and moving to a new forum en masse isn't a bad idea.. As has been said, next tech fault and that's the end of autoshite by the looks for it.. So maybe we should be proactive to ensure the place lives on / gets new members

CortinaDave is right. Only thing I would say is that the best thing about this forum is its unmoderated. Clearly we need a moderator for approving folks and ejecting spambots and so on, but if we move to a new forum and whoever the 'manager' is starts actually moderating the content and messing about with the format adding sections for this that and the other, it'll quickly turn to shit.

Hi, I registered on the main site on 4th Feb but still no luck getting approved. I am aware of the problems the admins are having and that others have been waiting far longer than me, so this might be futile; but I thought I'd wave my arms around and yell "me too!" just in case it makes the slightest bit of difference. Great website though and the humour genuinely brings a smile to my face.
