Tomorrow's run is the reverse of our trip here except we're going via a scrapyard for a mooch around. Im planning to pluck the bonnet emblem off something interesting and I've been tasked with finding an LED clock for a Daihatsu Coure in our party.

It should be a fairly relaxed run as we need to leave the site by 10am and the ferry is at 7pm.

We're getting ready for the off this morning. The Visas in the fleet are struggling a little. The brown one is having electrical issues and the yellow one keeps fouling it's plugs so there's some maintenance to be done this morning. However the Aggro needs nothing!

We've been at the Venyard scrapyard buying bits for various cars. It's an old school pull and pick which we perused. Amazingly there was a Lancia Y10 turbo in for scrap

Quick pitstop in Belgium for cheaper fuel (€1.90) before we hit Calais in an hour.

We've made it to border control! The queue is quite long currently but we have two hours until our ferry so should have plenty of time

Loaded on the boat. Looks like it's a rough crossing today.

So hour and half home.? :D

Confession time...  The Allegro isnt actually going home... I actually sold it to a fellow lunatic at EMWalhalla. A well known guy from the Maxi scene and owner of the Maxi that was on the trip. I stopped at Folkestone services after getting off the boat where I handed it over to a convoy passenger who has driven it to it's new owner just south of Hythe. So it's back on the south coast

My last photos of the Aggro below. It's performed admirably this weekend and has been a very comfortable, if thirsty cruiser. I've enjoyed owning it and as per the rest of the cars I've owned it's left my ownership in better condition than I bought it with new brakes, suspension pipes, a water pump and an electronic ignition.

Our Practical Classics photographer drove it off into the sunset to deliver it to it's new owner.

I'll be sure to get a copy of the Practical Classics which includes it too keep it for prosperity.

I'm impressed that the Allegro managed the journey so well. Onwards and upwards  - looking forward to seeing what you do with HMC's old Moggie thou. I was sorely tempted.

How are you getting home tho?

I got a lift in the Jaaaag as it was quicker and more comfortable than the two cylinder Visa alternative 😅

That looks like it was a superb journey!  Did you get much from the Dutch breakers?

I personally only acquired this badge for our own i10.

Between the group we stripped the front end off the MG, a set of wheels off a Rover 45, the dashboard out of a Berlingo and the roll back roof off a Smart car. Most of this was crammed into the already full 309 diesel.

The bonus to this weekend is that we were also raising money for the RNLI and as of this morning have raised over £3000.

I had a great trip, made some new friends, saw some cool cars, and made it home without major incident. My favourite photo of the trip has to be this one, highlighting some of the chod we brought along.

Now did someone say something about a 2,000 mile road trip to Poland in a Mini...?

Love this.

Old shit is for driving. Really hoping to do similar things once I stop chasing my tail a bit. This is inspiring me to get on with it.
